Bill Neely practices principally in the areas of taxation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and executive compensation. He focuses primarily on partnership taxation and transactional tax planning and has served as lead tax counsel in the formation and operation of numerous venture capital, real estate and hedge funds. Mr. Neely has also served as lead corporate counsel in dozens of acquisitions and consults regularly with companies on the structure and implementation of executive compensation plans.
Mr. Neely currently serves as General Counsel of Health Services Management, Inc., a nonprofit senior-living management company located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. HSM operates over 20 skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in Florida, Texas, Indiana and Tennessee. As general counsel, Mr. Neely is primarily responsible for all matters of a legal nature, including resident and employee claims, health care matters, financing transactions, acquisitions and general corporate and tax matters.
Mr. Neely graduated magna cum laude from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, received his J.D. from the University of Kentucky and earned an LL.M. in taxation from the University of Miami.
