Scott Fielding to Present at the 36th Annual ABA RPTE National CLE Conference
Member Scott Fielding will present at the American Bar Association’s 36th Annual Real Property, Trust, and Estate (RPTE) National CLE Conference on May 9, 2024. He will moderate and join others in speaking on the CLE program topic of “Ground Leasing (Post-Covid) – A Primer from the Landlord, Tenant and GC Perspective.”
The CLE program will be a primer on important legal issues in ground leases from the landlord, tenant, and in-house counsel perspective. It will discuss important drafting, negotiation, and diligence strategies, with a focus on the outparcel, restaurant, and retail space, and include insight on what has changed post-Covid. The program will include an overview of what a ground lease is and how it differs from other leases and some of the general benefits of a ground lease from landlord and tenant perspective. It will also provide a general discussion of the key provisions in a ground lease from the landlord, tenant, and in-house counsel perspective, and strategies for reaching middle ground.

The RPTE National CLE Conference takes place May 8-11, 2024 in Washington, D.C. and presents the latest developments in real estate and trust and estate law from speakers including leading practitioners and professionals, as well as governmental and judicial insiders.
