Tracy Powell Recognized as an Outstanding Leader by the ABA Health Law Section

Tracy Powell has been recognized by the American Bar Association (ABA) Health Law Section as an Outstanding Leader. Every year at its annual Leadership Meeting, the Health Law Section honors exceptional leaders who make extraordinary contributions toward advancing the Section’s mission.

The ABA Health Law Section is a diverse community of attorneys, students, and professionals committed to upholding the rule of law across the broad spectrum of the healthcare legal field. Its members represent clients from all sectors of the healthcare industry. The Section serves to produce timely content, encourage thought leadership and build lifelong connections that will serve members at all points within their careers.

Tracy has been a member of the ABA Health Law Section for more than twenty years, has served the Section as a Council Member from 2019 – 2022, and currently serves as a Vice Chair of Marketing & Technology and a Vice Chair of Membership. In his health care practice, he primarily represents physicians and other providers on business and regulatory matters, including federal and state fraud and abuse matters, physician self-referral issues (Stark Law), and related healthcare operational issues. He has substantial experience in physician practice matters across a broad-spectrum including physician/hospital relationships, private equity relationships, and physician compensation matters. Outside of physician practice healthcare matters, he represents and counsels entities involved in joint venture arrangements involving lithotripsy, urology, and other medical specialties.
