Tracy Powell practices primarily in the areas of healthcare, commercial transactions, securities and general corporate law
In health care matters, he primarily represents physicians and other providers on business and regulatory matters, including federal and state fraud and abuse matters, physician self-referral issues (Stark Law), and related healthcare operational issues. He has substantial experience in physician practice matters across a broad spectrum including physician/hospital relationships, private equity relationships, and physician compensation matters.
Outside of physician practice healthcare matters, he represents and counsels entities involved in joint venture arrangements involving lithotripsy, urology, and other medical specialties.
Tracy has been involved with the ABA Health Law Section for a number of years in a variety of roles, and he believes that his ABA HLS relationships and experiences are of critical importance to his professional development.
Mr. Powell is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School, where he was a member of the Vanderbilt Law Review and Order of the Coif. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi.
