Sherrard Roe Voigt & Harbison Celebrates Diversity Month
Sherrard Roe Voigt & Harbison believes law firms must take significant leadership roles in cultivating, supporting, and championing diverse workplaces. Its Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee initiates those efforts in-house via a group of firm employees who recommend and implement strategic initiatives and programs that result in a more diverse, equitable, inclusive, and just work environment where all individuals may succeed and advance.
The firm recently concluded its annual Diversity Month programming, where firm leadership, attorneys, and professional staff engaged in community and conversation surrounding various aspects of diversity. Several attorneys discussed how DEI efforts are woven into their practice, touching on topics such as transgender rights, civil rights, and immigration. Two short Pixar films, “Float” and “Loop,” were screened, followed by facilitated conversations with attendees on the underlying themes of representation and inclusion. We concluded Diversity Month with an excursion to the National Museum of African American Music.
All events hosted within the firm featured food from women or minority-owned local businesses. Nashville’s thriving food scene is home to a vast array of international cuisine that SRVH is proud to support.
