Bob Mendes joins Sherrard Roe

Bob Mendes will join Sherrard Roe Voigt & Harbison as a member December 31, 2019. Mendes concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, business bankruptcy and transactions. He also acts as outside general counsel for a number of companies. He counsels clients in forming and operating businesses and participates in client management teams to formulate policy and strategy, and he provides guidance to help clients avoid and resolve disputes and navigate through change management challenges.

Mendes was recently elected to a second term as a Metro Nashville Councilmember-At-Large. In addition to his service as Councilmember, he has served in a number of community leadership positions. Mendes was a Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Hearing Panelist from 2013 to 2019. He is on the Board of Directors of the Park Center and New Level Community Development Corporation. He is on the Board of Trustees at Father Ryan High School, where he served as the Finance Committee Chair from 2013-2015.
