Lisa Helton and Hunter Branstetter Present at TCAA 2025 Annual Conference

Firm members Lisa Helton and Hunter Branstetter presented “Landfill Legal Updates: Expansion, Regional Plans, and Impact” at the Tennessee County Attorneys’ Association (TCAA) 2025 Annual Conference.
The conference, which took place on Friday and Saturday, April 25-26, 2025, featured educational programs from industry professionals for association members.
The TCAA is an organization which represents all County Attorneys and their Deputies in the State of Tennessee. The purpose of the Association is education and training. Among other things, they conduct seminars and serve as a clearinghouse for information and exchange of ideas in order to promote the continued excellence of the organization and quality service to their governmental clients.
Lisa Helton focuses her practice on estate and trust litigation, appellate law, general and commercial litigation, environmental litigation, landlord/tenant law, representation of homeowners and homeowner associations (HOAs) in HOA disputes, and IRS tax litigation and controversy. Lisa was recognized by Best Lawyers® as the 2025 “Lawyer of the Year” in Nashville for Trust and Estate Litigation and as the 2023 “Lawyer of the Year” in Nashville for both Trust and Estate Litigation and Tax Litigation and Controversy. In addition, she was named to the 2025 list of Best Lawyers in America® for Litigation-Environmental and to the 2024 list of Super Lawyer for Estate & Trust Litigation and Environmental Litigation.
Hunter Branstetter focuses his practice on trial and dispute resolution matters, ranging widely from contract claims to civil rights, corporate disputes to commercial litigation, condemnation/eminent domain to construction, antitrust to administrative law, environmental law to employment issues, property rights to professional liability, and trade secrets to torts of all sorts. Hunter comprehensively represents a number of municipalities, utilities, and other governmental or quasi-governmental entities. In addition to serving as outside general counsel, he represents these sorts of clients in singular engagements, often related to service-area disputes, solid waste issues, or environmental claims.
