Sherrard Roe Welcomes Rascoe Dean to the Firm

Sherrard Roe Voigt & Harbison is pleased to announce that Rascoe Dean has returned to private practice as the newest partner in its litigation group.
Rascoe is a former Deputy Criminal Chief of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee where he supervised the daily practice of multiple federal prosecutors in a unit that tried cases involving firearms, violent crimes, threats in interstate commerce, illegal narcotics, and child exploitation offenses. He also served as the USAO’s Appellate Chief, supervising the office’s appellate work in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and assisting with complex legal issues in district court.
Prior to these roles, Rascoe served as a federal prosecutor from 2019 to 2023 in the USAO’s criminal division where he handled similar matters.
Before entering public service, Rascoe was an associate at the firm from 2017 to 2019.
Rascoe earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2015, where he served as an Articles Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. After law school, he served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Gilbert S. Merritt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
